o The student should be directed to develop a general inspection form to assess a publicly available building, such as a library, retail store, etc. or a publicly available space such as a park.

2. Develop a detailed inspection form targeting specific workplace hazards associated with an activity and equipment (include in Appendices).

o The student should be directed to develop a detailed inspection of their kitchen or food preparation area and should focus on a food preparation and cooking activity. If the student is deployed and/or unable to complete this activity, he or she should develop the detailed inspection for one of their job tasks.

3. Work with a work organization to conduct a general inspection of a work facility or work unit and conduct a detailed inspection of a specific workplace activity and related equipment (use the forms you developed).

o The student should be directed to complete the general inspection form based on the publicly available building, such as a library, retail store, etc. or a publicly available space such as a park.

4. Develop a report summarizing inspection results, including a risk assessment of hazards identified and recommendations for hazard control if deficiencies are noted.

o Submit based on completed activities.

5. Work with a work organization to complete a job safety analysis of a work task (the write-up should summarize the analysis and a completed analysis form should be included in the paper submission).

o The student should be directed to complete a JSA of one of the following options: fueling a lawnmower with gasoline, cutting vegetables and preparing vegetable soup, planting shrubs at home or changing oil in their vehicle.

Submit the name and contact information for the point of contact with which you have made arrangements. Further, you should note the job that you plan to analyze and note the specifics of your detailed inspection, in other words, the job activity and equipment you plan to inspect for each of the three deliverables.
