Young Boys Incorporated (YBI), a drug dealing gang that began in Detroit, hired young boys from Detroit as drug couriers and drove them 250 miles away to New Castle, Pennsylvania to work for several weeks at a time. In the past, couriers hired by drug dealers would be locals, but the YBI broke that pattern. “What was different in this case was that all of the juveniles were from Detroit, and not one of them was reported as missing or a runaway,” the Police Chief said. “They were kids nobody was looking for.” Which theory would best explain why these young couriers turned to drug dealing?
