For this assignment, you will research and investigate the issues pro (for) and con (against) receiving vaccinations. 

Your position statements will be: Numbered, double-spaced, and in Times New Roman 12-pt font. You will write your statement in the first person narrative, in a way to persuade an audience towards your position. For example, for your pro statement you will begin with something similar to “I firmly believe in getting vaccinated because…” Use information from peer – reviewed sources (journals or books) to help you answer each question, making sure to cite all sources both in-ext and in a Works Cited page. You must use at least five peer-reviewed sources.

Your PRO position statement will address the following:
1. In your own words, what is the definition of a vaccination? Give at least 4 examples of
common vaccines administered in the United States. (4 points)

2. THREE reasons for your pro position. You must provide a brief explanation for your 
reasons. (3 points)
3. How does your position impact the average student at Bakersfield College? Give at least 
two reasons. (2 points)

Your CON position statement will address the following:
1. THREE reasons for your con position. You must provide a brief explanation for your
reasons. (3 points)
2. How does your position impact the average student at Bakersfield College?
Give at least two reasons. (2 points) 1 point for your Works Cited page
