In this chapter, “Injuries as a Community & Public Health Problem”, we are looking at “unintentional injuries” as well as “intentional injuries” and we will examine some of the strategies for the prevention and control of unintentional injuries. Do they bear a responsibility in the training of the citizens of communities within the 5 boroughs of NYC in preparation for emergencies and disasters? How important is this? Discuss methods of ensuring community health safety and preparedness.
