Submit a one to two page paper describing how you plan to use psychotherapy in your practice as a PMHNP. Address the following questions.

• Do you plan to refer your patients to a therapist? If so, how will you select the appropriate therapist and modality? How will you respond to the patient who is not interested in seeing a therapist? Will you require an adjunct therapist as part of your patients’ plan of care?

• Do you plan to function as a therapist, or incorporate therapy into your patient encounters? If so, what is your preferred modality? What types of diagnoses will you offer therapy for? Do you have, or plan to pursue, advanced training in therapeutic modalities?
