    6. Develop a career plan and road map with benchmarks to measure progress.
    7. Use the strategic plan to achieve professional goals.
    8. Prepare a resume.
    9. Assess leadership competencies.
    10. Meet with the instructor to discuss the development of the paper.
  1. COURSE ASSIGNMENT
    1. Conduct a personal self-assessment and evaluation during the semester based on course activities.
    1. Use the results of this self-assessment to develop a professional and personal action plan for:

    1. The Strategic Action Plan should address personal and professional areas related to leadership skills and development, career planning, life changes, etc.:

    1. The Personal /Professional Strategic Plan should consider areas such as physical and mental health, assessment of professional skills, leisure time, time management skills, stress management skills, areas for spiritual growth, refinement of leadership skills, social-interpersonal skills, family, financial goals, plans for future education, involvement with community organizations, professional organizations, exercise and fitness, nutrition and diet, environmental responsibility, creativity, life purpose and service, etc.
    1. Conduct your own SWOT analysis; develop realistic and measurable objectives (SMART) to achieve stated goals; examine mentorship relationships; complete a needs assessment; explore strengths and weaknesses; think about personal career strategies; include fieldwork opportunities, etc.
