Students will watch all the videos posted in three different weeks, and write “video critiques” due by the end of the sixth week. Students are to choose “three topics” which may coincide with three different video segments or sections from all the videos posted throughout the three weeks. Then, the student will write his/her own critique per video topic, thereby making the total of three separate critiques (1500 words minimum in length).

1. Ethical Issues in Health Care Reform

Ezekiel Emanuel is one of America’s leading bioethicists as well as a key figure in the national debate on health care. Emanuel discusses the pressing issues facing US health care today, from access to insurance to the overall cost of American medicine.

3. Contra “Physician Assisted Suicide Law”

Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila gives the presentation to the Denver Guild of the Catholic Medical Association.
