Each individual will create a fictional character who may seek career counseling.  The fictional character will need to include as follows from syllabus:

• Basic Demographics such as age, sex, race, and education
• Career Development thus far
• Reason for entering Career Counseling
• Any unique problems that may influence counseling session (e.g. disability, economic problems, emotional problems

I listed the five theories below with a description.  If you each want to pick one that would be great and just respond to this post with which one you are applying to your fictional character and I will make an updated list for everyone.  Thanks so much!

Match each fictional character to one of the five theories (listed below with description from our textbook) covered thus far in the courseand include a brief explanation of how you would present the theory to the individual.  Consider including:

• Information needed for initial assessment
• Tools utilized in the assessment process
• Steps in the career development process
• Two resources the client may find useful
• Assignments client needs to perform in order to progress in their career development

Theory One – Holland’s Theory of Vocational Choice and Adjustment (Ch. 3)

• Individuals and environments can be described in terms of their resemblance to six model/theoretical types à RIASEC
• Summary of types on p. 58 in Ch. 3
