Module 09 Written Assignment – Pain Assessment

Identify a family member or friend, not a client, and conduct a pain assessment using one of the pain assessment scales located in the Fundamentals text book, Table 34-4. Feel free to use any of the pain assessment options; some are for children, some for adults, and some for those who cannot communicate. Make sure to choose an appropriate tool for the person you are assessing.

Once you select an assessment scale, then complete the assignment: write a brief summary of what you discovered and then identify two (2) non-pharmacological interventions you could recommend to help alleviate the pain.
