Preparing for a disaster. Choose a location of your choice (Texas) and do the following evaluation:

1. Identify and analyze emergency risks, population vulnerabilities, and likely impact/consequences.

2. Identify lead health agencies and authorities in that area. What is the capacity of the local health agencies to respond to a disaster?

3. Implement relevant measures such as immunization, heightened vector control, stockpiling, and staff training.
