Assessment ABSTRACT FOR NURSING RESEARCH UTILIZATION PROJECT PROPOSAL: Prepare an initial description of approximately 500 words introducing both the problem focus and the solution you propose for the Nursing Research Utilization Proposal. Your proposed solution must provide valid research study findings to support at least some of the content. For example, if you want to develop an educational program for patients focusing on prevention of complications of diabetes, then you must include valid research studies to support at least some of the interventions or strategies you include in the program. Common solutions proposed include policies and procedures, educational programs for internal or external audiences, booklets or pamphlets, new or revised programs, websites, and publishable manuscripts. Developing a completely new program is often unnecessary. Instead, you may use an existing pain-management program, for example, and propose, in general, a solution based on a new complementary therapies module for using relaxation therapy.
