Another observation assignment. Go out and see if you can find the constellation Orion. It is one of the more distinctive constellations. It should appear in the southeast prior to midnight. See if you can find a very bright star trailing it. Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, is part of the constellation Canis Major, or big dog. Submit your observations, including date, time, observers, weather, altitude and azimuth of the object, and your impressions. Draw a sketch also and attach.
