Twenty years ago, the only way to reach an employee via telephone was to call the front desk and hope that the receptionist would deliver your message. Today, employees are accessible 24/7. As a supervisor in a healthcare facility, you realize that a handful of employees are constantly on their phones. You need your phone in case of a family emergency so banning their use outright would not be possible. Knowing that patient care must come first, explore your options as the manager in this situation.
