What do I know and what do I hope to learn about Energy Industrial Safety? During this course we will be focused on an overview for industrial workers of state/federal regulations and guidelines which require industrial safety training.

Utilizing the KWHL Chart, answer your level of understanding about the each of the questions posed below in theKnow column, and what you want to know in the Want column, and finally in the How column indicate where you think you find this information out (hint: its not your textbook):

• Describe the basic components of safety, health, and environmental systems as defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
• Describe Hazardous Waste Operator (HAZWOPER) Standards
• Locate Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and interpret data.
• Select and don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform Lockout / Tagout procedures.
• Complete a confined space and hot work permit.
• Select and employ fall protection equipment.
• Fill out a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
