One molecule of dietary glucose can be catabolized by glycolysis and the TCA cycle to generate a maximum of ~32 molecules of ATP.  If the glucose is first stored as glycogen before being catabolized, what fraction of this energy is lost?  Tip: regard the consumption of any nucleoside triphosphate (eg GTP or UTP) as being equivalent to the consumption of ATP.
