In this module we have explored the economics and politics in national security.  In this activity, you will provide a description and an analysis of the United States national security budget process and its potential strengths and weaknesses.

When you have completed this activity, you will be able to:

♦ Describe the United States national security budget process (CO#1 and CO#2)

Your assignment is to compose a 600-750 word position paper response to the following questions.  Be sure to utilize relevant material from your readings and the module notes to substantiate your analysis using citations. Observe  6th edition style and formatting as you compose your position paper response.

·         What do you identify as the merits and defects of this process?
