The purpose of this exercise is to show that understanding
biology can have a big impact upon our health. Familiarize yourself
with the concept of a cell by reading chapter 4 of the textbook
“Cells”.paper (500 + words) titled “When the Antibiotics Quit
Working.”
Read Chapter 4 in the textbook, and the online document
“Microbes: What Does Not Kill Them Makes Them Stronger” (currently
posted on this URL:http://whyfiles.org/038badbugs/index.html). As
you read the article begin to think about ways you can prevent
bacteria from becoming resistant to antibiotics.
