Some research studies show that teen suicide rates are higher for Lesbian, gay,bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youths than among their heterosexual peers. While organizations like the Trevor project, and social media movements like the It gets better project have raised some public awareness this ongoing issue is one that psychology may be able to address in a number of ways. Research questions: How can psychological research ,theories, and perspectives be used to decrease suicide rates among LGBT youths?
