Hi! If the core temperature of a human body is lowered just above the hypothermia temperature (i.e just above 35 degrees), will adrenaline be released or thyroxine will be released instead? I understand that adrenaline is usually released under life-threatening situations and supply energy to the body, preparing it for the fight or flight response. However, in this situation, the lowered core temperature is not life-threatening as it is above the hypothermia temperature, so does that mean secretion of adrenaline won’t be stimulated?
