Hi,

I have to do a research proposal on the essay question “What are the objectives of genocide? What are the groups it targets”? I also have to use two case studies; The Armenian and Rwandan genocide.

I would appreciate if you could give some guidance on how to go about this and how I should deconstruct the question. I have some idea on how to answer the first part of the question, but on the second part where it says “what are the groups it targets”? I am a little lost, are we meant to just write about the two case studies there or in general? Because genocide can be targetted toward any race.
