For this project, students will utilize the Learning Resource Center to research contemporary references to the history of psychology and psychological theories. Direct students to complete a 2-3 page paper, double spaced, references, according to the following directions.

1. Choose a psychologists mentioned in Chapter 1 of the textbook. Using the LRC, locate two or more recently published articles that discuss this psychologist.
2. Explain who the chosen psychologist is and why his/her theories are relevant to the field of psychology. What did this psychologist discover? Why are these discoveries important?
3. Summarize each of the articles and their discussion of the psychologist. What is the article about? What conclusions does the author reach? How is the psychologist relevant to the discussion?
4. Compare how each article’s author discusses the psychologist. Do the authors cite the psychologists’’ theories for similar or different reasons? Does one article discuss the psychologists more effectively than the other? Defend your response with citations from the articles.
