1.       You are the prosecutor in the Atkins case; briefly present your argument before the U. S. Supreme Court.

2.      You are the defense attorney for Atkins; briefly present your argument before the U. S. Supreme Court.  

3.      In the Atkins case the Supreme Court ruled that the Eight Amendment of the Constitution prohibits the imposition of the death penalty on convicted murders suffering from mental retardation.  Do you agree?  Discuss.
