2.Discuss the ethical issues you believe have arisen or are likely to arise with the deployment of CRISPR. Most of the ethical discussions related to genome editing center around human germline because editing changes made in the germline would be passed down to future generations. CRISPR gene editing has proven itself to be nothing less than a miracle. An effective and precise method which transform biology and genetics. “Bioethicists and researchers generally believe that human genome editing for reproductive purposes should not be attempted at this time, but that studies that would make gene therapy safe and effective should continue” #cite.

CRISPR recognizes gene-editing technique that has transformed biology and genetics. It has offered a cheap and effective way that has implications for healthcare. CRISPR application is evident as it has been used to detect and treat cancer. CRISPR application explores the biology of cancerous brain tumors. CRISPR has been used to edit immune cells in people living with lung cancer. CRISPR tracks fatal diseases, and it has been successful in the removal of HIV from human immune cells. Temple University research team eliminated HIV-1 DNA from T cell genomes in human lab cultures. CRISPR has made significant advancement in potential HIV treatment, as the virus is prone to re-infect victims. This method was shown to be safe for human cells and could provide a more long term treatment for patients.
Discuss the ethical issues you believe have arisen or are likely to occur with the deployment of CRISPR
The ethical issues associated with CRISPR relates to genome editing. Ethical risks are evident through the door. It opens up to the enhancement of embryos. There is a need for designer babies that result in modification of embryos that will produce taller, stronger, and smarter individuals. There is a need for tight regulations and ethical rules about the use of genome editing. There is a need to prevent misconduct and avoid harm to people and the ecosystem. There is a need for careful development of guidelines by scientific and societal leaders. There is a need for transparency for diverse elements of society with a stake in the issue.
