However, the two words actually have some differences. Law/legal is actually required while ethics is not legally required. Standards in laws are determined by the court. While in ethics standards are determined by the people. Just because something is legal that does not mean that it is ethical. When ethics and law are brought together they can force health care managers to have to make difficult decisions.

These days there are many different laws and compliances rules put into place to help protect patients and healthcare organizations. Healthcare managers have to learn and be aware. Knowing what to look out for when it comes to fraud and abuse in the workplace.
