Brief Health Policy Letter

Investigate a current health or nursing policy topic having an actual or potential impact on Nurse Practitioners. This health care policy issue is one, which either has been or is being introduced at the state or federal level. Select a topic of interest and identify an elected constituent including contact information. After developing insight through exploration, compose a brief one page letter to a legislator conveying the need for support or opposition. Identify the particular issue and the health policy bill in the legislative letter. A letter demonstrating brevity, yet a strong and powerful message is the intent. References within the body of the letter to add value to support the health policy issue. Reference list not required. Citing the source and year within the body of the letter is acceptable.
