American Nurses Association
American Nurses Association is a professional organization that has aim of advancing and protecting nursing profession. The association was inaugurated in 1896 by the name of Nurses Associated Alumnae. It was renamed as American Nurses Association in 1911. The association is based in Silver Spring, Maryland. Pamela F. Cipriano is the President of the Association (American Nurses Association, nd).
According to the organization, it notes that nursing is protection, optimization and promotion of healthcare and abilities, prevention of injury and illness. As well, it aims at alleviation of diagnosis, treating human response while advocating care for individuals, societies, populations and families (American Nurses Association, nd).
